We are going to discuss one book a week over the course of a year. We encourage you to watch, and share these videos. If you have read the books, you don’t need to watch. If you have not read the book, you must watch. It is the way to get into our Charism more.
The Inscrutable Wisdom of God
What are we to make of the seeming paradoxes in the Christian life?
* The first is last and the last is first.
* There is victory in defeat.
* There is glory in dishonor.
* We are to rejoice in suffering.
It is hard for the human mind to grasp the inscrutable ways of God. But to take on the mind of God is essential for our salvation. Jesus has shown us the way, and it is the way of the cross. We are to walk along that path, foolish as it might be to the world.
How can we understand the mysteries of the Kingdom? “For ‘who has known the mind of the Lord, so as to counsel him?’ But we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Cor 2:16). Let us delve then into the mind of God, so that we can “speak God’s wisdom, mysterious, hidden, which God predetermined before the ages for our glory” (1 Cor 2:7).
