Gospel for Today: Luke 14: 15-24
We know the Gospel and we probably always think: I would never say no to go to the banquet! I would never have an excuse to do something else.
But…. we do. We make excuses when Sundays come and we are too busy or tired to go to Mass. We make excuses not to go to regular confession. We make excuses not to serve in the upcoming Christian Life Seminar. We make excuses for this and that…. and these just leave us away from the great banquet that is already prepared and waiting for us!
The more we serve, go to Mass, be active Catholic missionaries, the more we partake in the feast that the Lord has prepared. Don’t we want that? For the Lord to be with us?
