But first, where in the Bible is Joshua? Joshua is the 6th book of the Old Testament. Coming right after the Pentateuch, and it is the first of the Historical Books.
Along with the books of Judges, 1-2 Samuel, and 1-2 Kings, Joshua answers the questions of “Why, God?” Why did all these events happen in history?
The main theme in Joshua is the dramatic entrance into the Promised Land of Israel.
After 40 years, they will finally enter Canaan which is a reward for heroic faith.
Joshua urges sanctification of the people in preparation for divine miracles, and to show exceptional courage.
Let’s go deeper into our Theme in the coming days. For now, open your physical Bibles, look for Joshua, and start memorizing our Theme verse:
Joshua 1:9″I hereby command you: Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
