MFC STATEMENT AGAINST THE DIVORCE BILLS IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
We, the Missionary Families of Christ, are against the move in the House of Representatives to legalize divorce here in the Philippines. We oppose to this move, and we call on our legislators to dump this bill.
We believe in the sanctity and indissolubility of marriage, and we stand firm on our beliefs. We are called to protect and defend marriage from all threats that seek to destroy it.
- We believe in marriage, as an indissoluble institution as taught by our Lord Jesus Christ.
- We believe that divorce destroys marriage, family, and life.
- We believe that the Christian couple is the core of the family, and the family in turn is the core of society. Whatever happens to the family affects society and whatever happens to the couple affects the family.
MFC will remain committed in defending faith, family, and life. For the good of the couple, the family, the society, the nation and the world, there should be no divorce.
“So, they are no longer two, but one flesh.

no human being must separate.”
